Badgers 10k training diary

Each week I'm doing an update on my training for the Admiral 10k So we had meeting and training week 1

The team are of varying capabilities (I put myself last in terms of ability). Instructions are set and we're off with gentle warm up (which I thought was going to be the run) then off we set with 10 1 minute running sessions to warm us up. Then we get off to sort our weekly interval training at local Active Swansea gyms.

This is year 2 of our training camp and lots of the team who did year one are taking part in this years 10k too!

Ben, Jess and Rhys have spent lots of time training runners and look after running clubs across the Active centres.

By Week 9 we've steadily built up to 6.5 k runs. Lets hope I can keep up with the rest of them on Sunday!

I have to say I've never been able to run with a qualified instructor before the guys were amazing. They take all of the hard head work out of running. Pace, speed and direction are all taken care of so all we have to do is put one foot infront of the other.
