VQ Day is a national celebration of vocational qualifications for students, teachers and employers. It shines a light on and recognises the millions of talented and skilled people throughout the UK who are awarded VQs. It was launched in 2008 to raise the status of practical and vocational learning and celebrate vocational achievement. This is the 6th annual VQ Day.

We want to raise awareness of vocational qualifications so come along to the events and ‘have-a-go’ at a range of interactive hands-on demonstrations that showcase a number of vocational skills.

High quality, vocational qualifications are essential to UK society, providing young people with the skills, experience, motivation and inspiration to get ahead. In this tough economic climate it’s essential to appreciate the value that vocational qualifications bring to learners, businesses and wider society!
