Ospreys bag first win of season in the Anglo-Welsh Cup

Ospreys picked up their first win of the season in rugby union's Anglo-Welsh Cup in Bridgend last night.

They beat the Newport-Gwent Dragons 26 points to 21.

South African centre Stefan Watermeyer scored on his debut as the Swansea based region all but ended their Welsh rivals hopes of progressing in the LV= Cup.

Watermeyer's contribution inspired Ospreys to victory while Ross Jones, Hanno Dirksen and Eli Walker also went over to add to the scoreline.

Dragons had been level at half-time thanks to wing Pat Leach's try and three Steffan Jones penalties.

But replacement Luke Williams' late try was their only second-half score.
