The Longcourse weekend is coming
The Long Course Weekend is coming to Tenby once again this year and we're proud to be part of such an amazing sporting event.
'In Just 4 years, The long course weekend has become a world wide event and caught the imagination of thousands of athletes for a number of reasons – dare I say it – for some – it is the medals!'
Long Course Weekend - What it's all about
Now entering its fourth year, the Long Course Weekend has become an established event in the heart of the athlete’s race calendar. The weekend is exactly that; three days of intense competition for amateur and professionals alike.
On the Friday entrants will take part in the full 2.4 mile swim on North Beach, Tenby. The route is two laps of the course, doing the second lap having exited the water and followed the route around Goscar Rock.
Saturday is the chance for contestants to take things a little easier, with a 112 mile sportive taking you through some of the most picturesque areas of South Pembrokeshire.
The final day of the weekend, Sunday, sees the contestants take on the 26.2 mile marathon between Tenby and Pembroke. This event is a closed road route, so there will not be any worries about traffic for runners.
The Wave has secured 100 places for you and your fundraising team to take part in the event free of charge. Entry is now closed but the weekend looks set to be a fantastic chance for everyone to come along and cheer on the athletes with live entertainment and a true post event party atmosphere
