Saving Lives come rain or shine
Each year the raft race raises vital funds for the RNLI. The RNLI exists purely through charitable donations and fundraising through events like the raft race. 2015 was one of the busiest years in the Mumbles lifeboats history. There were over 90 calls to help save lives of the public on the coast and at sea.
Every year the Mumbles Lifeboat volunteers answer calls 24 / 7 – 365 days a year. With your support they can keep doing this The RNLI is a charity based organization and does not receive money from the government. Every day it costs £300,000 to run the UK lifeboat service, every penny of which comes from voluntary contributions and legacies.
