Foster Swansea, the City & County of Swansea’s Fostering Service are currently recruiting foster carers in the area and are looking for your help!
Children need foster carers for many reasons. Whatever the cause for this, it’s a difficult time, so they need a stable home and plenty of support, care and understanding. Children and young people of different ages need fostering and there are different kinds of care they might need.
We are currently particularly interested in hearing from people who can care for children aged 10+ due to the shortage of such foster carers in the area and the demand for services from children of this age. We are also looking for people who have the time and space to care for sibling groups, to keep brothers and sisters together.
Claire and Sandra from Swansea have recently been approved as foster carers with Foster Swansea and said "We feel fully supported by Foster Swansea and have total confidence in them. The support & guidance has been and continues to be invaluable in enabling us to undertake our role as carers. We are very happy with the support offered to us by all at Foster Swansea. As new carers, the importance of this very high standard of support is vital, particularly to help us in our aim to provide the best quality foster care we can for the City & County of Swansea and the children placed in our care”.
Kelly Harsant, Business Development Officer at Foster Swansea is urging anyone interested to contact the team today, to find out more. Kelly comments, "Life as a foster carer is highly rewarding. This is especially true for Foster Swansea carers who are part of a large team that will support you every step of the way. Our package of support and training assists our carers to develop to their full potential, so fostering becomes a way of life that’s rewarding, enjoyable and challenging!”
