Meanwhile Baker-Richardson loaned to Accrington Stanley
Swansea City meet Derby today in their Championship match at Pride Park.
Manager Steve Cooper said they were hoping to build on last week’s 2-1 win against Hull.
“We’re looking forward to putting on another good performance. I thought we grew in the game last week and ended up with a good result. And we want to build on that going into Derby, our first away game.”
“They’re obviously a big club. There’s been quite a lot of change there with the management and players coming in and going out.
“These are the games you want to be playing you know, and we just very confident we’ll be focussing on ourselves and committed to doing the best we can and getting a good performance.”
That game kicks off at 3pm.
The club announced today that striker Courtney Baker-Richardson has joined Accrington Stanley on a season-long loan, subject to international clearance.
The 23-year-old links up with League One Stanley, who are managed by John Coleman and finished 14th last term.
Baker-Richardson joined the Swans from Leamington Spa and spent his first season with the club in the under-23 ranks.
He ended the 2018-19 season with four goals in 21 appearances in all competitions, and penned a contract extension through to June 2020 earlier this year.
A statement from Swansea City said:
“Everyone at Swansea City wishes Courtney every success with his loan stint at the Crown Ground.”
