Public must follow Government advice on social distancing
Swansea Council has reopened its parks after yesterday's announcement they were to close.
The authority says people can exercise there once a day - but can't gather in groups and should follow Government instructions on social distancing.
The venues include Cwmdonkin Park, Clyne Gardens and Singleton Park along with Bonymaen, Brynmill and Dunvant parks.
Venues such as Brynmelyn, Coed Bach and Cwm Level parks are also open.
All play areas in the parks remain closed.
Robert Francis-Davies, the council’s cabinet member for investment, regeneration and tourism, said: “In light of latest Government advice, our parks are open.
"However, social distancing and self-isolation is key to curbing the spread of this deadly virus; the public should follow latest Government instructions.
"Gatherings in public of more than two people who do not live together are prohibited. This will help protect the safety of staff and residents which is our top priority."
