"It's been a great father and son bonding experience. George has loved the races and can't wait for the next one. It has also encouraged him to do more running and cycling as he wants to go a little faster next time."
The second distance, the Burn, the ultimate fitness challenge is a 10km run, 1km kayak and 40km mountain bike orienteer.
The day is part funded by the Welsh Government and as it is the Year of Adventure in Wales, there will also be some additional adventure challenges to test both competitors and inquisitive spectators.
