A learner driver and a driving instructor were left trapped in a car when it flipped onto its roof.
Four people were injured in the smash and firefighters had to rescue the pair from the upside-down car.
The crash involving a British School of Motoring (BSM) vehicle and one other car took place on a dual carriageway in Swansea, South Wales.
Fire crews, police and ambulance staff all attended the accident scene and the road was closed.
A fire service spokeswoman said: "There was a road traffic collision involving two vehicles - one vehicle is upside down.
"There are two walking wounded and there are two casualties. The police are there as well."
A spokeswoman for BSM said they were looking into the incident.
