Swansea Bay NHS are warning us to remove pandemic supplies from vehicles
Those of us carrying hand sanitiser in our cars to protect us and others during the Coronavirus pandemic are being asked to remove them as the mercury rises!
Swansea Bay NHS say when the heat outside tops 25 degrees, that can make the temperature inside the car the same as an oven.
In those conditions the sanitiser can ignite and that's not going to end well for car owners...
ALERT - please remove any hand sanitiser from your car as it's a fire risk. If it's 25C outside, it can be 55C inside your car - and that's oven temperature. There have already been reports of car fires starting this way in the current hot weather. pic.twitter.com/Mtb6k77jKC— Swansea Bay NHS (@SwanseabayNHS) June 24, 2020
