Mat Office yellow warning in force until tomorrow - care on roads urged

Welsh Families setting off on half term getaways today are being warned that heavy rain could disrupt their journeys.

The Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning for most of Wales beginning today, which they say may bring transport disruption and road closures.

Its warned that fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life.

The agency warns we could expect:

  • Homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
  • Fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life
  • Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
  • Some communities may be cut off by flooded roads
