Kayakers Rescued By Lifeboats on Gower

The pair had been blown offshore near Three Cliffs Bay yesterday afternoon.

Two people have been rescued by the Mumbles and Horton lifeboats near Three Cliffs Bay..

The pair on an inflatable kayak got caught in the wind and blown off shore around 4:30pm yesterday before being helped to safety.

Helm of the Mumbles Inshore lifeboat James Rice said: "It's the beginning of the season and with good weather comes the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful Gower coast. 

"We would however urge anyone taking to the water to be properly prepared with life jackets and a way of communicating if in distress.
