A man has been charged with the murder of Clint Simms from Ely, Cardiff.
Mr Simms died after being found injured in Ely on Thursday, March 3.
The 39-year-old was treated in Glyndwr Road by paramedics and doctors from the Welsh Ambulance Service and the Welsh Air Ambulance following a report of stabbing at 11.31am.
Stephen John Pike, aged 58, from Ely, has been charged with murder and two offences of possession of a knife/blade in a public place.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 7.
Mr Simms’s family have been updated and continue to be supported by a family liaison officer.
Extra patrols are taking place in the area while detectives continue to appeal for information.
They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed a disturbance in Mill Road, close to Ely Bridge, a white Fiat being driven around Ely, or what happened in Glyndwr Road on the morning of Thursday, March 3.
