CCTV footage show the moment Wayne Eaton saved his wheels!
A Mumbles ice-cream parlour worker is urging the public to be vigilant following a botched daylight robbery.
CCTV footage shows 52-year-old Wayne Eaton from Loughor knocking one of two thieves off his motorbike - which was taken from outside Forte's Parlour on Wednesday.
Wayne told us what happened.
"I was leaving work and stepped out of the front of the cafe and there was a kid sitting on my motorbike and another one siting alongside him on another bike.
"When they saw me they both panicked and tried to drive off.
"He had already started the ignition, I don't know how, because the bike has a lock and alarm on it.
"As soon as I saw that I ran and knocked the kid off the bike.
"I was aware that if I punched him or anything I could be in trouble with the law, so I just knocked him off.
"He jumped onto the back of the other bike and they took off.
Wayne told us after the police chased the duo around the Townhill area of Swansea, they managed to get away.
However, the pair have been caught on various different cameras.
"We have CCTV footage which we are sending to the police today (Friday 9th February) and another local boy said he has footage on his phone of the two of them in and out of driveways in the Limeslade and Mumbles area.
"Police have told me they think the two are linked to numerous crimes in the area in recent months
"One of them apparently threw their helmet at a police car that was chasing them around the Townhill area.
"The police said they are going to test that for DNA."
'It was my birthday'
Wayne told us Wednesday 7th February - the day of the attempted theft - was also his birthday.
"It was actually on my birthday the day they tried to steal my bike", he laughed.
"Happy Birthday right?"
