Natwest bank was reportedly targeted by thieves this morning
Two men have been arrested following reports of a bank robbery in Neath town centre.
Officers were called to the incident at Natwest on Green Street just after 10am this morning (Tuesday 20th February).
A South Wales Police spokesman said the pair, aged 27 and 37, were caught driving away following the cash-in-transit robbery outside the bank, just opposite the train station.
Police said one of the men targeted a security officer who was entering the bank, while the other acted as a getaway driver.
This is the second cash robbery at a Neath Port Talbot bank in the last three weeks.
A similar incident took place at TSB bank on Glynneath High Street on 1st February.
Money was stolen from a transit van during the robbery.
A 31-year-old man was charged in connection with the robbery on 1st February.
