OBE for Geraint Thomas

The Welsh cyclist reveals he discussed Fatherhood with Prince William

Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas has received an OBE at Buckingham Palace for his services to cycling.

The 33 year-old from Cardiff - who won the famous race last year - was given the award by Prince William.

Thomas - who had his first child three weeks ago - reveals what he and the Duke of Cambridge chatted about:

"He thought I'd be in lycra, but I said I'd had a puncture so I'd had to get a Uber.

And we had a bit of a chat about the rugby obviously, still on for an England Wales final which should be interesting.

And I've just had a baby boy so we had a quick chat about as well. It was nice, really nice."
