Pro 14 triumph for Ospreys while Scarlets take on Zebre today

Ospreys defeat Southern Kings 43 - 7 and Wayne Pivac hopes for victory against Zebre in his last coaching game at Parc y Scarlets

Man of the Match Dan Evans became the first Osprey ever to get three hat tricks during last night's 43 point to 7 hammering of South African side Southern Kings.

The Ospreys ran in seven tries in windy conditions in the emphatic win on what was their first ever visit to Port Elizabeth.

The victory ensures their play-off hopes remain very much alive with just one game to go.

Coach Alan Clarke said:

"Hats off to everyone involved. management, players who haven't been on the players an dobviously those who have. To get ten points is excellent."

The Scarlets meanwhile have to win against Zebre in their Pro 14 match and last home game of the season, if they are to have any chance of qualifying for Europe.

This afternoon's match is also the last home fixture in Wayne Pivac’s reign as coach.

A top-three finish and a place in the PRO14 play-offs looks beyond them following last weekend’s damaging 20-12 home defeat to Edinburgh.

But fourth spot would give them a place in the play-off for the final place in next season’s Champions Cup.

And Pivac isn't losing hope or focus:

"We're focusing on ourselves now, not so much the opposition. We're looking to put on a couple of really good performances. Oviously its our last game at home against Zebre so we're hoping to put on a special performance for the people who aren't going to be here next year and our support base."
