The comic takes to Twitter to spread awareness
Social Services are open for business - and we need to help them keep people safe during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Welsh comedian Rhod Gilbert's taken to Twitter to spread the message for the Welsh Government, as many of the usual early warnings such as schools or visits to elderly relatives are not there at the moment.
The stand-up said we need to act as eyes and ears for those in our communities. As part of his impassioned message, he said:
"I think there's an assumption that everything is on stop at the moment and Social Services aren't there. They are there. Social Services are there and they want to hear from you is you are concerned about somebody's welfare."
Social services are not at a stop. They are here to help.— Welsh Government (@WelshGovernment) July 13, 2020
If you’re worried that someone you know is at risk of abuse, neglect or harm, contact social services or call 101.
