Referee incident at ERC Toulon Game
Scarlets flanker James Davies has apologised for his unsportsmanlike behaviour in Sunday's European Rugby Champions Cup clash with Toulon.
It's after he appeared to gesture and swear at referee Greg Garner.
Davies said that during the heat of battle .. he lost his composure and said and did things he deeply regrets.
Scarlets say they condemn any foul or abusive language or actions like those displayed by James Davies on Sunday.
James Davies said: "I would like to apologise to my team mates, the fans, the Scarlets, my family and the rugby community as a whole for my unforgiveable actions on Sunday. During the heat of battle I lost my composure and said and did things I deeply regret.
"I apologised to referee Mr Garner both during and after the game but would like to re-iterate my sincerest apologies publically."
A spokesperson for the Scarlets said: "The Scarlets hold the unique values of Rugby Union in the highest regard. Our players are all aware of their responsibility as role models and custodians of those values. We unreservedly condemn any foul or abusive language or actions like those displayed by James Davies on Sunday.
"The Scarlets will comply fully with EPCR Disciplinary procedures as well as conducting an internal investigation under the Scarlets Disciplinary Procedure."
