The search for a missing pilot in north Wales will resume later this morning.

It was called off last night after the light aircraft - which was flying from Caernarfon to Llandudno - disappeared off radar yesterday afternoon.

Police confirmed the plane had just one person on board when it lost contact.

A Coastguard helicopter from Caernarfon as well as rescue teams from Penmon and Bangor were called out following a report that the aircraft had gone missing at about 12.47pm yesterday.

RNLI lifeboats from Beaumaris, Moelfre and Llandudno, as well as officers from North Wales Police, are also involved in the search.
