Reminder that collections are taking place on households’ normal day this week.
Historically, Swansea Council has collected waste a day later following a bank holiday, but changes have been made to keep collection days the same all year round in a bid to make it easier for residents.
It means that if your rubbish is normally collected on a Monday then it will also be collected on a Bank Holiday Monday.
Chris Howell, Head of Waste in Swansea Council said: “We are always looking at ways of providing a more efficient collection service that will benefit the Council and make it more straightforward for residents.
“In the past, arrangements to collect a day later because of bank holidays, can mean bringing in additional resources.
“Now that we are operating as normal over the bank holiday residents can simply put their waste out on their regular collection day.”
