A star of smash hit TV programmes including Broadchurch and Torchwood has visited Swansea to film scenes for a flagship new BBC Wales drama series.
Eve Myles was among the cast and crew at the city's Guildhall, who were recording footage for a programme that will be called 'Un Bore Mercher' in Welsh, and 'Keeping Faith' in English.
Filming took place in the building's former court chambers and cells, with footage having previously been shot in Bonymaen and Swansea city centre.
The eight-part series will tell the story of a wife and mother who tries to uncover the truth behind her husband's disappearance. Being filmed back to back in both Welsh and English, the programme will premiere on S4C before its broadcast on BBC One Wales.
Other stars include Broadchurch's Matthew Gravelle, Stella's Mark Lewis Jones and Hinterland's Mali Harries and Aneurin Hughes.
Swansea Council helped facilitate cast and crew during their time in Guildhall.
Tracey McNulty, Head of Cultural Services at the council, said: "The part filming of this much-anticipated new drama series in Guildhall follows on from scenes shot in the building last autumn for 'Their Finest', a recently released movie starring Gemma Arterton and Bill Nighy that's getting rave reviews from the critics.
"We recognise the importance of this kind of filming to Swansea, which is why we look to make the process as straightforward as possible for production companies who get in touch. Not only does Swansea featuring in flagship TV programmes and hit movies raise the city's profile, but it also highlights our rich culture at a time when we're bidding tor UK City of Culture 2021 status.
"From Dr Who and Torchwood to Elijah Wood and David Tennant, Guildhall is starting to build up an impressive résumé of TV shows, movies and stars it's accommodated in recent years."
Co-funded by the Welsh Government's Media Investment Budget, S4C and BBC Wales, all principal photography of the series is being shot on locations around Wales. Location assistance was also provided from Wales Screen, part of the Welsh Government's creative industries team, helping to maximise the economic benefits for Wales.
Other parts of the country where scenes will be filmed include the Laugharne area of Carmarthenshire and the Vale of Glamorgan.
Un Bore Mercher will premiere on S4C this autumn, with Keeping Faith to be shown on BBC One Wales early next year.
