#TimeToTalk

The Bulldogs team!!

If you're from Port Talbot you may know Mal Emerson..he's on a mission..and it involves walking and talking!

Over 20 years ago Mal had a serious accident whilst working at a steel plant. He broke his leg in over 20 places.

It took him five years to learn how to walk again. As a result of that incident and the injuries he sustained he suffers from PTSD.

The former steel worker is Chief Executive of the Bulldogs Gym and is using his experience to help others.

The Fenbrook Close site is hugely popular with the local community. It's also a meeting point for various charities that help veterans in the area. Former armed forces are able to use the facilities for free.

Mal is also a big fan of walking and says it has literally transformed his life.

When the National Trust heard about Mal they decided to include him in their #PlacesMatter campaign. You'll be able to see it at cinemas across Wales from this month.

Our reporter Emma Grant heard about his heroics and decided to pop into Bulldogs to find out more.
