Katrina Evemy has died in hospital following a serious incident last week at her home in Llanelli.
Police say 19 year old Katrina Evemy from Llanelli has died in intensive care following a serious incident at her home on Graig Avenue, Llanelli.
Katrina had been in a critical condition in hospital since the incident on Thursday 13th April.
The mum of one died on Wednesday 19th April with her family at her bedside.
Senior Investigating Officer DCI Ifan Charles said, "On behalf of Dyfed-Powys Police I extend deepest sympathies to the family of Katrina Evemy.
"Our specialist officers are continuing to support the family at this extremely difficult time.
"The death of Katrina means we are now investigating a murder.
"The investigation is on-going and all lines of enquiry are being followed."
"Anyone who witnessed or has information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact the Llanelli Incident room by calling 101."
A family member said, "You may be gone but you will never be forgotten.
"I held your hand until the very end and I miss you so much already.
A 21 year old man was charged with attempted murder last week and police now say a murder investigation has been launched and all lines of enquiry will be followed.
