Police want to trace man seen on CCTV
South Wales Police have released a CCTV image following the theft of valuable media equipment from the press room at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff.
The image is of a man they want to speak to in connection with the thefts which took place during the Wales v Scotland Six Nations game.
A camera bag and a high-value camera were stolen.
PC Laura Davis, from Cardiff Central Police Station, said: "We believe there have been other similar incidents across the UK where an individual has been targeting sports venues posing as a media officer by using fake accreditation to gain entry.
"We are appealing for information on the man in the CCTV image but also to the media to be vigilant to anyone seen acting suspiciously in the press areas at sporting events."
Principality Stadium manager Mark Williams added: 'We are extremely grateful to South Wales Police for their hard work and diligence in investigating this incident so far and their swift actions on the day it occurred.
"We would like to echo their appeals for extra vigilance and for any information anyone has about the man seen in the CCTV image released.
"The press box at major sporting events is a close community and this theft has been collectively felt. All relevant Principality Stadium resources are directed at ensuring the culprit is found and in preventing any similar theft happening again in the future."
