Wales To Kick Off Six Nations Campaign

It's Scotland up first this afternoon in Cardiff.

Wales coach Warren Gatland says they're pleased to be playing Scotland in their opening game of this year's Six Nations.

The tournament kicks-off with a clash between the two in Cardiff at the Principality Stadium this afternoon.

The team is dominated by Scarlets players with ten in the starting fifteen.

Worcester wing Josh Adams alse makes his debut for Wales.

Warren Gatland says his side have a bit of a score to settle against our Scottish friends.

He said:  "Players that were involved last year were disappointed with losing away at Murrayfield and they feel there's a great chance for us to get the campaign off to a good start against a Scottish team that have definitely been resurgent and are going to test us and cause us a number of problems.

Gatland says he knows only too well how important the first game of the competition is. He says the fixture schedule hasn't always been kind to Wales. He said: "They've tended to be pretty tough games.

"A lot of times we've played England first up or Ireland so we're aware of how important the first game is and it's a great chance for us to get off to a good start and then hopefully look forward to Twickenham in week two."
