Police investigations continue into Gorseinon bank incident

Detectives investigating an attempted robbery at a bank in Gorseinon are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Armed officers were deployed alongside divisional teams to Lloyds on High Street shortly after 10am on Tuesday (November 20), following reports that two men carrying weapons had entered the building.

The men, who were said to be dressed in blue overalls with their faces covered, had fled the scene empty-handed before police arrived.

Nobody was injured.

A section of High Street was closed off following the incident while forensic enquiries were carried out, and some local residents were asked to stay indoors for a short time as a precautionary measure.

Enquiries to identify and locate the suspects are ongoing and officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area prior to or following the incident, or anyone who has any information which could assist the investigation.
