There was an immense sense of achievement as determined Des Lally climbed to the top of Pen y Fan on Saturday.
The 43-year-old dad received a guard of honour and cheered him on his way as he reached the peak of the highest mountain in South Wales.
His ascent was remarkable for one very good reason – it was the 365th time in the space of a year he’d climbed Pen y Fan while raising over £54,000 for Help for Heroes and Cancer research UK
